Product Description

The redesigned Talking Tactile Tablet, nicknamed “TTT”, is an inexpensive, rugged and simple computer peripheral device designed for use as a “viewer” for audio/tactile materials and the SAL2 Courseware. Most simply, it consists of a computer touch screen connected to a PC via a USB cable. A hinged weighted frame that can be opened and closed by a user with limited manual dexterity serves to hold a selected tactile graphic sheet motionless in place against the touch-sensitive surface.

When the user presses points on the braille or tactile sheet that is mounted on the TTT, his or her finger pressure is transmitted through the touch screen to the computer. The computer is able to provide audio feedback to the user, as a confirmation of a correct or incorrect answer pressed on the braille sheet or for identifying graphic details on the tactile sheets.

The SAL2 System records each student's performance and provides a teacher report on individual student activities.

Includes: USB Cable, Starter Software Bundle (World Map, TTT Match Game, TTT Snakes & Ladders) and Product Manual. Plus a 30-day demo version of the TTT Authoring Tool with 3 sample overlay sheets.

Specifications: Dimensions = 15"L x 12"W x 1.5"D Weight = 6.5 lbs.

Requires: PC with windows 98 or higher, or Intel Mac running Windows.

Note: The full World Atlas, full Authoring Tool, and Authoring Tool Templates may be purchased separately.
