Product Description

Math Window® is an easy-to-use math teaching tool utilizing magnetic tiles on a conveniently-sized work surface. It is portable and comes with its own carrying case. Math concepts are easier to understand using this tactile method of building and solving math problems. Tiles are stored on the board perimeter for easy access.

Math Window® is available in our Basic Math Kit and our Algebra Add-on. The Basic Math Kit includes a framed work surface, canvas carrying case, and tiles to carry out addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. The Algebra Add-on is intended to compliment the Basic Math Kit. It contains a few more of each number, letters to use as variables, and higher math symbols for pre-algebra, algebra I and II.

Math Window® Braille
With Print

This kit contains Nemeth Code Braille, as well as print, and is a valuable tool for blind students across the country. Born out of the fast-moving mainstream classroom, Math Window® Braille provides the tools and methods for blind students to work and solve problems quickly, with little wasted motion and effort. Problems are easily constructed and can be modified in seconds. It is a great tool for blind students to interact with their sighted instructors and peers because the tiles are equally recognizable by all.

Math Window® Braille Features:
  • Standard size Nemeth Code centered on each tile
  • ½” square tiles, extra thick for ease of manipulation
  • 11” x 14” work surface
  • Sturdy canvas carrying case with pocket
  • Available in Basic Math Kit and Algebra Add-on

Math Window® Large Print
With Braille

Math Window LP is great for Low Vision students. The 1” square tiles are printed with 75pt black font on white background for maximum contrast. Each tile also features standard sized Nemeth Code Braille in the lower left corner to aid those students in transition. Our tiles are easily manipulated, making the task of lining up in rows and columns a snap.

Math Window LP Features:
  • Standard-size Nemeth Code in lower left corner of each tile
  • 1” square tiles, extra thick for ease of manipulation
  • Large, 14” x 20” work surface

Math Window Math Challenged
No Braille

Math Window MC is the ideal tool for learning disabled students or those in regular education who are having difficulties learning math concepts. Math Window MC Features:
  • Crisp, bold print
  • ½” square tiles, extra thick for ease of manipulation
  • 11” x 14” work surface
  • Sturdy canvas carrying case with pocket
  • Available in Basic Math Kit and Algebra Add-on

Math Window Braille Geometry Kit

Math Window Braille Geometry Kit will allow your student to work and solve geometric problems, as well as, graph them on the double-sided, framed work surface. This kit contains point markers for locating points and plotting squares to help the student accurately plot points on the graph. Wikki Stix® are used to connect the plotted points, forming line segments and curves, and to illustrate math functions. Tiles are stored on an attachable tile pallet to allow interchangeable use of both sides of the work surface.

Math Window Braille Geometry Kit Features:
  • Standard sized Nemeth Code centered on each tile
  • 1/2" square tiles, extra thick for ease of manipulation
  • 14"x16" double-sided work surface: one flat for working problems and the other with raised grid lines for graphing

Testimonial for Math Window: “We bought a Math Window last year for our high school student, and he loves it - and so does his general education math teacher, because she can do it with him independently of the TVI. When my 5th grader was struggling with long division, I "borrowed" it and brought it to the elementary school, and my 5th grader loved it too... and so did his regular education teacher and his paraprofessional. But with geometry coming up in the high school math class, I had to bring it back to the high school, so I requested a Math Window for use in the elementary school. The Math Window allows my students to work independently and to easily "correct" their errors by selecting a different tile. The kids with learning disabilities love it, too...”

ACCESSORIES:

Math Window Tile Pallet

The new Math Window Tile Pallet is a great addition to any of the Math Window Basic kits. It allows for extra storage of the magnetic tiles; or the pallet can become the entire storage area to allow extra space on the work surface. It easily attaches to any side of the framed metal board and folds over the work surface for storage. The 7" x 15" double-sided pallet has a border to contain the tiles and keep them within reach. The edges are rounded and padded to protect little fingers.

This Tile Pallet is a convenient way to keep the magnetic tiles organized and accessible to your student.
